GT Supervisor - Centurion Depot (Passenger Transportation / Tourism Industry)

Position Summary

We are seeking a Ground Transportation Supervisor to join our leading organization. You will be responsible for the effective utilization of drivers, equipment, and fleet to maximize service and productivity. This role involves managing all operational tasks related to drivers, clients, suppliers, and management. You will coach and supervise drivers and dispatchers in support of company objectives within a 24/7 operating environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and management of staff
• Coordinate and direct driver activities and assignments
• Manage driver performance through analytical review, coaching, and constructive feedback to support performance improvements
• Provide clean, accurate reporting data for departmental and company-wide performance reporting
• Utilize department tools to perform daily planning, trip planning, and work instruction preparation for drivers
• Manage operational shifts for the department
• Manage and implement route planning for kilometre optimization and minimization of empty kilometres
• Monitor and ensure all trips are dispatched in a timely manner in compliance with planned schedules
• Work with management and drivers to implement and administer department policies and procedures
• Track and report all driver attendance incidents to ensure adequate staffing levels
• Ensure all fleet inspections are completed and vehicle registration and roadworthiness certification are constantly updated
• Organize and direct all relevant activities to ensure safe, cost-effective, and on-time operating performance
• Supervise the depot and staff across Fleet, Sales & Marketing, HR, and Finance functions

Education and Experience Requirements

• Prior experience in operations and fleet management in a transport environment
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and people management skills
• Proficiency in English required; bilingual preferred
• Code 14 driver's license with PrDP (preferred)
