Position Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Projects Accountant to join a leading mining organisation in Zimbabwe. This role involves coordinating and managing key financial activities related to projects within the company.

About the Company

This confidential organisation is the largest producer of platinum group metals in Zimbabwe. It owns and operates the Ngezi underground mines, the Ngezi Concentrator Plant, and the Selous Metallurgical Complex (SMC). The company is committed to delivering long-term value through responsible mining practices and sound financial management.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage project accounting functions, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Ensure accurate tracking of project costs and expenditures
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support project decision-making
• Collaborate with project teams to maintain financial control and compliance
• Prepare and present financial reports for internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications and Experience

• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CA, or equivalent)
• Proven experience in project accounting or financial management within the mining or heavy industry sector
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial systems, and reporting standards
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
