About the Opportunity

A prominent development finance institution is seeking applications from qualified, experienced, and highly motivated professionals to join a proposed four-year project. The initiative aims to strengthen Zimbabwe's agricultural finance ecosystem through the application of the Market Systems Development (MSD) approach, driving sustainable transformation in financial systems and improving agricultural sector outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of Market Systems Development activities within the agricultural finance sector
• Facilitate collaboration between financial service providers, agribusinesses, and smallholder farmers
• Identify and address systemic barriers to agricultural finance access
• Support the design and testing of innovative financial products and services
• Monitor and report on project progress against established targets

Qualifications and Experience

• Relevant tertiary qualification in development finance, economics, agriculture, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in market systems development, agricultural finance, or inclusive finance
• Proven track record in facilitating multi-stakeholder partnerships and building market linkages
• Strong understanding of Zimbabwe's agricultural and financial sector landscape
• Excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skills
