Job Overview

We are seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to fill the position of Maintenance Hand within our Furniture Manufacturing Unit. This vacancy is available for locations in Harare and Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks on furniture manufacturing equipment and machinery
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems as needed
• Ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently to minimize downtime
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new machinery when required
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times

Qualifications and Requirements

• Relevant technical qualification in maintenance, engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience in a maintenance role, preferably within a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license may be an advantage
