Position Overview

This is a full-time academic position for a qualified applied mathematician. The role encompasses multiple levels of responsibility, from Lecturer through to Professor, depending on candidate qualifications and experience. The position involves diverse professional obligations structured across five primary functional areas.

Core Responsibilities

Teaching and Instruction

• Deliver lectures and instructional content according to departmental and faculty standards
• Prepare and organize course materials and learning resources
• Conduct assessments and evaluate student performance
• Maintain current knowledge in applied mathematics disciplines

Institutional and Community Contributions

• Actively participate in departmental, faculty, and school committees and initiatives
• Engage with community outreach and public engagement activities
• Contribute to institutional development and strategic objectives
• Support professional networks and collaborative activities

Research and Scholarly Activities

• Conduct original research in applied mathematics
• Publish findings in peer-reviewed academic journals
• Seek external research funding where applicable
• Supervise postgraduate research students

Administrative Duties

• Maintain accurate academic records and documentation
