About the Role

The Joint Clinical Research Centre is hiring a Data Clerk to support the Health Unit In-charge and District Health Office in implementing strong data management systems. Working as part of the facility team, you will assist in promoting quality data standards across all points of service delivery and ensure the generation and submission of quality HIV/TB data while maintaining the highest standards of integrity.

Project Context

This position supports the Local Partner Health Services – North & Southwest Activity, which provides technical assistance for implementing a district-based, integrated package of quality HIV/AIDS and TB services across thirteen districts in the Ankole sub-region. The main goal is to increase the availability, accessibility, and utilization of quality, integrated HIV and TB services.

Key Responsibilities

• Liaise with different Units In-Charges across multiple service delivery points to ensure completeness of data in patient files and registers
• Work with various health unit departments to ensure timely, accurate, complete, and valid data is generated from respective registers and submitted to MoH and PEPFAR systems
• Receive and process HIV/TB lifesaving-related data calls and requests
• Update national EMR systems from paper-based patient records
• Manage and maintain electronic data systems, including EMR, DHIS2, and Prevention Trac
