Position Overview

The Joint Clinical Research Centre (JCRC) is hiring a Data Clerk to work under the leadership of the Health Unit In-charge/District Health Office. As part of the facility team, you will assist in implementing strong data management systems and promote quality data standards across all points of service delivery. You will ensure the generation and submission of quality, lifesaving HIV/TB data while maintaining the highest standards of integrity.

About the Project

The Local Partner Health Services – North & Southwest Activity is implemented by JCRC to support technical assistance for a district-based, integrated package of quality HIV/AIDS and TB services across thirteen districts in the Ankole sub-region. The main goal is to increase the availability, accessibility, and utilization of quality, integrated HIV and TB services.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Liaise with Unit In-Charges at different service delivery points to ensure completeness of data on patient files and registers
• Work with health unit departments to ensure timely, accurate, complete, and valid data is generated from respective registers and submitted to MoH and PEPFAR systems
• Receive and submit HIV/TB lifesaving-related data calls and requests
• Update national EMR systems from paper-based patient records
• Manage and maintain electronic data systems, including EMR, DHIS2, Prevention Tracker, and eCBS
