About the Organization

The Joint Clinical Research Centre (JCRC) is implementing the Local Partner Health Services – North & Southwest Activity. This initiative provides technical assistance for the implementation of a district-based, integrated package of quality HIV/AIDS and TB services across thirteen districts in the Ankole sub-region. The main goal is to increase the availability, accessibility, and utilization of quality, integrated HIV and TB services.

Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified Data Clerk to perform data management duties under the leadership of the Health Unit In-charge/District Health Office. Working as part of the facility team, you will assist in implementing strong data management systems for the health unit. You will promote quality data standards at all points of service delivery and ensure the generation and submission of quality HIV/TB data while maintaining the highest standards of integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Liaise with Unit In-Charges of various service delivery points to ensure completeness of data on patient files and registers
• Work with different health unit departments to ensure timely, accurate, complete, and valid data is generated from respective registers and submitted to MoH and PEPFAR systems
• Receive and submit HIV/TB lifesaving-related data calls and requests
• Update national EMR systems from paper-based patient records
• Manage and maintain electronic data systems, including EMR, DHIS2, Prevention Tracker, eCBSS, YAPs MIS, PIRS, and CQI to ensure proper system functionality and data integrity
