About the Organization

TMHS Group Limited is a locally registered company providing Emergency Medical Services, Waste and Environmental Management, Occupational Health and Safety services (both local and international), and Medical Supplies Services. We are seeking self-motivated, committed, and results-driven Environmental Laboratory Staff to work with our Environmental Laboratory team under the Waste and Environmental Subsidiary.

Position Details

• Location: Kisarawe Plant, Kisarawe, Tanzania
• Employment Type: Full-time
• Reports to: WNE Manager
• Salary: TZS per month

Key Responsibilities

Sample Log-in & Data Entry

• Accurately entering client information, sample locations, dates, and required analyses into LIMS

Sample Inspection & Preservation

• Checking sample temperatures to ensure proper preservation
• Verifying appropriate container types
• Checking for proper chemical preservation
• Verifying hold times are maintained

Sample Management & Tracking

• Receiving and logging samples
• Checking sample integrity and documentation
• Labelling and storing samples properly
• Tracking sample status and reporting issues
• Notifying lab staff of urgent samples
• Handling sample rejections (incorrect labelling, etc.)
• Maintaining sample storage areas
• Tracking and managing sample disposal
• Generating reports on sample status

Hazardous Materials Handling

• Safely handling potentially hazardous, corrosive, or toxic samples

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Attention to Detail: Essential for preventing errors in sample tracking and labelling
• Organizational & Time Management: Ability to manage high-volume, fast-paced workflows and prioritize urgent samples
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of environmental sampling requirements and EPA methods
