Head of Finance

About the Role

This position represents an excellent career development opportunity. As Head of Finance (CFO), you will be responsible for leading the bank's financial strategy, ensuring strong financial governance, protecting shareholder value, maintaining regulatory compliance, and driving sustainable profitability. You will oversee all financial operations and serve as a key advisor to the CEO and Board.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead monthly finance and accounting operations
• Develop and execute business strategy and planning
• Manage regulatory reporting and ensure compliance with statutory regulations
• Oversee cost management and balance sheet optimization
• Monitor general ledger operations including interest accruals and provisioning
• Perform finance GL reconciliation and end-of-month reconciliation activities
• Maintain fixed asset register including recording, reconciliation, and movement controls
• Prepare and publish quarterly accounts with accuracy and timeliness
• Manage end-to-end internal audit processes and Board approvals
• Prepare financial statements and reports for management and stakeholders
• Submit reports to regulatory authorities including weekly returns, bi-weekly returns, NPS, NOP, and monthly reports
• Supervise and monitor daily activities of finance officers
• Review and authorize financial transactions
• Process short-term financial planning and projections
• Prepare annual budget and forecasts
• Handle complaints from other departments
• Carry out work in accordance with bank procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Accounting or Finance
• Relevant experience in finance
