About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join ITM Tanzania Limited as a Quality Health & Safety Manager. In this role, you will ensure compliance with Health and Safety local legal requirements as well as customer-specific and internal requirements. You will have overall responsibility for H&S KPI on assigned projects by aligning with CT Head, CDM, project team, and H&S MU lead on H&S activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership and lead health and safety for the project, ensuring all key H&S standards are implemented
• Define technical H&S requirements derived from project scope of works
• Provide customer bid support with H&S documentation and Statement of Compliance (SoC)
• Review customer contracts and ensure compliance with H&S requirements
• Conduct Risk Assessments and prepare risk registers for projects
• Review country legal requirements and ensure compliance during project execution with support from PS&S
• Prepare project-specific H&S plans, circulate to project teams, and obtain final approval from CDM
• Conduct H&S Inductions including Nokia Life Saving Rules for all project team members (internal and external)
• Ensure relevant training, medical certificates, and PPE are available for all project team members as required
• Conduct Supervisor training for Nokia supervisors to equip them with required knowledge and authority to stop H&S violations
• Support CDM for HRPIA and suppliers for SMA along with PS&S team
• Review H&S requirements in supplier contract agreements and ensure inclusion if missing
• Conduct H&S Inductions including Nokia Life Saving Rules for supplier key resources with attendance documentation
• Attend project kick-off meetings and other key project events
