About the Role
The Back Office Secretary is a crucial role in our company, ensuring smooth operations behind the scenes. This position is based in Kisemvule, and the candidate must be willing to relocate to this location.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle daily administrative duties such as scheduling, correspondence, and data entry
- Provide customer service support and assistance to customers, both in person and over the phone
- Maintain and update databases, including customer information and data management
- Facilitate communication between departments and ensure that information flows effectively
- Assist with accounting and financial reporting tasks
- Support the Managing Director with daily business and personal tasks
- Work closely with department heads, external consultants, and service providers
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Economics, Communication, Marketing, or any related field
- Minimum three years' experience in either agro-business (farmer groups, buyers, traders, transporters, input suppliers, or processors) or trade and export-related fields
- Valid car driving license
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proven communication skills – both verbal and written
- Proficiency in spoken and written English and Kiswahili (additional language skills are an asset)
- Advanced social media and marketing skills
- Advanced computer skills, including MS Office and MS Excel
- Ability to work well in a team environment
