Material manager

About the Role

The Material Manager is responsible for end-to-end management of telecom project materials, ensuring efficient planning, sourcing, coordination, and control of equipment and spare parts in line with standards, customer requirements, and project delivery models. The role ensures that all materials are available, correctly allocated, and delivered on time to support seamless network rollout and deployment activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage material supplier selection to ensure compliance with customer and industry standard requirements, identifying the most competitive solutions aligned with deployment delivery models and guidance
• Oversee demand and supply implementation for materials towards subcontractors in consultation with the project team
• Manage material coordination including spare parts aligned with standard processes and customer scope and contract requirements, covering coordination of customer-supplied materials and installed base when needed
• Support Project Manager and ROM (Rough Order of Magnitude) in project preparation and planning by providing material guidelines and specifications
• Provide material management support during project execution phases for all material-related topics
• Collaborate with category manager and procurement team for evaluation and selection of subcontractors
• Initiate creation of new Sales Items to fill portfolio gaps when necessary

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Telecommunications, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in material management, telecom logistics, or supply chain operations
• Proven experience in managing telecom project materials and spare parts
• Demonstrated supplier coordination expertise
