We are seeking self-motivated, committed, and results-driven Environmental Laboratory Staff to join our team in the Environmental Laboratory under the Waste and Environmental Subsidiary.

Position Details

Employment Type: Full-time

Location: Kisarawe Plant, Kisarawe, Tanzania

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, label, analyse, and store samples, specimens, or products
• Calibrate, clean, sterilize, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
• Conduct routine and specialized tests for environmental parameters, including chemical and biological analysis of samples
• Record, analyse, and interpret data using computer software, LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems), and databases
• Adhere to strict safety protocols, including proper PPE usage, when managing hazardous materials
• Maintain inventory, order supplies, and document procedures
• Report laboratory findings to supervisors

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum Diploma in a technical laboratory program, such as Laboratory Science and Technology, from a recognized institution
• Proficiency with laboratory instrumentation and data management software
• High accuracy in recording data and ability to follow strict, complex, or repetitive procedures
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting findings to researchers or managers
