Geita Gold Mining Ltd (GGML) is Tanzania's leading gold producer with a single operation in Geita Region. The company is a subsidiary of AngloGold Ashanti, an international gold producer headquartered in South Africa, with operations in more than ten countries across four continents. The mine is situated in the Lake Victoria Gold fields of Northwestern Tanzania, approximately 85 km from Mwanza City and 20 km southeast of Lake Victoria. The company maintains its head office in Geita, 5 km west of the town of Geita, with a supporting office in Dar es Salaam.

Role Objective

The Geologist 3 – Exploration will provide technical specialist support on designing and streamlining technical exploration drilling programs and their sequential execution in line with GGM exploration strategy and E4V guidelines. The role holder will evaluate the progress of assigned projects and their potential outcomes in supporting the Life of Mine (LOM) plan.

Key Responsibilities

• Report directly to the Superintendent 2 – Exploration (Resource Definition & Resource Delineation Drilling)
• Serve as part of departmental senior management
• Prioritize, plan, review, and monitor execution of work plans
• Monitor project progress and outcomes
• Support resource definition and resource delineation drilling initiatives
