Equity Bank Tanzania seeks an experienced Manager to lead corporate and public sector relationships in Zanzibar. This role combines business development, client relationship management, and strategic financial solutions to drive growth across government institutions and large corporate clients.

Basic Purpose

The Manager is responsible for developing and managing government and institutional relationships across Zanzibar. This role requires leadership in growing business, expanding the portfolio of large corporate clients, structuring tailored financial solutions, and maintaining key stakeholder relationships across multiple sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of existing Institutional Banking clients by providing appropriate solutions to ensure portfolio growth and client retention
• Prepare memos and structure tailored financial solutions for loans and facilities for corporate clients
• Support unit growth and profitability through effective development of new business with government institutions, corporate entities, and private institutions in Zanzibar (both Unguja and Pemba)
• Work closely with other business units to drive Institutional Banking and Corporate Banking strategies, focusing on acquiring new clients and key projects
• Offer relevant financial solutions, including payment and collection solutions, while aligning with internal stakeholders for the execution of account plans
• Manage relationships with government entities including State House, government organs (Immigration, Judiciary, Parliament), 18 Ministries, 88 Institutions, 5 Local Government authorities, NGOs, international organizations, religious institutions, financial institutions, NBFIs, education and health sectors

Required Skills & Attributes
