Associate Director – Human Resources(HR)

About the Role

The Associate Director – Human Resources oversees end-to-end HR operational excellence across the Africa Region. This position provides oversight throughout the full employee lifecycle, including talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, compensation, employee relations, and employee separation, while driving continuous improvement in HR service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide HR operational leadership and guidance to People managers, HR managers, and teams on talent management
• Serve as the primary HR point of contact for designated client groups
• Supervise HR Managers to implement HR programs and policies, tailoring them to local needs
• Oversee HR Managers across the Africa Region, ensuring coherent, consistent, and high-quality talent management practices
• Interpret policies, guidelines, and procedures while ensuring full compliance with The Nature Conservancy policies and local labor regulations
• Proactively mitigate risk in complex and sensitive situations
• Support the design and implementation of programs that promote staff development
• Provide trusted advisory support and guidance to supervisors and employees
