Boart Longyear Tanzania Limited is a drilling services company providing drilling equipment and performance tooling for the mining industry. Our operations are based in Msalala district, Shinyanga region, with expansion prospects throughout the lake zone.

Position Overview

We are seeking motivated Underground Drillers to join our team. In this role, you will contribute to safe and cost-effective drilling operations while meeting daily targets in accordance with Mine Safety Standards, Policies, and Procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement drilling, work over, and completion operations activities on drilling rigs
• Operate mine site machines and manage drill movement
• Provide a safe working environment for all personnel at the drilling site
• Maintain samples according to client and Boart Longyear standards
• Report equipment deficiencies promptly
• Read and accurately follow mine instruction plans with precision, ensuring holes are drilled to design line, gradient, and profile specifications
• Communicate with surveyors, geologists, and engineers to optimize drill patterns and meters
• Conduct standard workplace inspection practices and prepare drilling areas in accordance with mine safety procedures
• Participate in all applicable safety, pre-start, and shift team meetings
• Comply with relevant Mines Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations
