The mine is situated in the Lake Victoria Gold fields of Northwestern Tanzania, approximately 85 km from Mwanza City and 20 km southeast of Lake Victoria. The company maintains its head office in Geita, 5 km west of the town of Geita, and a supporting office in Dar es Salaam.

Role Objective

Successfully deliver the planned maintenance regime while fulfilling statutory obligations and providing breakdown reactive response. The role harmonizes both customer and organizational requirements in a dynamic, expanding team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on underground mining equipment
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults
• Conduct preventive and breakdown maintenance
• Ensure compliance with safety standards
• Ensure work is performed to OEM standards and improve quality of work over time after equipment is released to production
• Plan work before execution
• Maintain good housekeeping practices

Education & Qualifications

• VETA trade test certificate grade one or level three in mechanic engineering
• Diploma or FTC in Mechanics
