About Panthera Corporation

Panthera is an international NGO registered in Tanzania, focusing on wildlife conservation in the western Tanzania landscape. We provide financial, logistical, and technical resource protection and area management support to the Tanzania Wildlife Management Authority (TAWA), and support wildlife monitoring activities.

Position Overview

The Resource Protection Support Specialist will lead Panthera's resource protection initiatives in western Tanzania. You will be responsible for implementing and overseeing Panthera's technical, financial, and logistical resource protection and area management support to TAWA across the region.

This role requires close collaboration with TAWA and partner organizations, as well as coordination with Panthera's Global and Regional teams, particularly the Counter Wildlife Crime (CWC) programme. You will facilitate daily implementation of Panthera's support operations and liaise with programme staff throughout Western Tanzania.

Key Information

• Location: Tabora, Western Tanzania
• Employment Type: Full-time
• Start Date: 01 June 2026
• Travel: Frequent travel across western Tanzania required; occasional regional travel expected

Primary Responsibilities

• Work closely with TAWA to oversee the delivery of resource protection support across Panthera's operational sites in western Tanzania
• Manage liaison activities with TAWA and relevant stakeholders
• Implement and coordinate technical, financial, and logistical support operations
• Collaborate with programme staff and regional teams on conservation initiatives
