Marketing Specialist

About the Role

Backbone Tanzania Company Ltd is seeking a qualified Marketing Specialist to join our team in Dar es Salaam. This is a full-time position in the Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and operate social media platforms including TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook
• Plan and organize offline marketing activities such as seminars, activations, and promotional events
• Design and coordinate production of promotional materials including storefront signage, vehicle branding, posters, and other marketing assets
• Develop and implement effective marketing strategies aligned with market trends and business objectives
• Support brand positioning initiatives and enhance overall market visibility and customer engagement

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Mass Communication, Public Relations, or a related field
• Professional certifications in Digital Marketing, Branding, or Communications are an added advantage

Experience Requirements

• At least 2-5 years of working experience in the marketing department of a reputable or large organization, with demonstrated successful campaigns
• Prior experience in animal feed companies is highly preferred
• Strong execution capability with the ability to work independently and lead marketing initiatives
• Solid understanding of social media management, digital marketing tools, and content planning
• Basic to intermediate design skills (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar tools)
• Ability to analyze market trends and translate insights into actionable strategies
• Strong communication skills in English (both written and spoken)
