About the Role
This position offers a great opportunity for career growth. SmartCodes is hiring a results-driven Business Development Manager with a strong commercial network in the Tanzanian market. You will identify, develop, and close new business opportunities for SmartCodes' full suite of marketing and communications services, manage a healthy sales pipeline, and contribute to achieving ambitious revenue targets.
This role is for a hunter who understands the agency landscape and can open doors at the decision-maker level, particularly across telco, FMCG, and banking sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities for marketing and communications services
- Close new business deals and manage sales pipeline
- Achieve ambitious revenue targets
- Build and maintain relationships with decision-makers in target sectors
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 5 years of experience in B2B sales or business development within marketing, communications, or media
- Demonstrated experience selling to telco, FMCG, and/or financial services clients
- Strong commercial network in the Tanzanian market
