Conventional Machinist

About the Role

Bastos Engineering is seeking an experienced Conventional Machinist to join our team on a full-time basis. We work across a wide variety of manufacturing sectors, producing diverse components for our clients. Our facility is located in Centurion, just off the old Johannesburg road.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform manual turning and milling tasks according to drawings and specifications, working to tight tolerances
• Ensure precision machining standards and work quality requirements are met
• Inspect finished parts using measuring equipment
• Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work area

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in a machining role
• Experience in a manufacturing or workshop environment
• Qualified as a fitter and turner
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Experience machining components from various materials
• Strong measuring and inspection skills
• Excellent problem-solving ability and hands-on approach
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Compensation

Pay will be discussed based on experience and skill level.
