Reach Stacker Operator (45-Ton)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled 45-ton Reach Stacker Operator to join our team at a customs container depot in the Clairwood area. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient handling and stacking of full containers in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a 45-ton reach stacker to load, offload, and stack full containers
• Manage the receiving and releasing procedures for stopped or detained containers according to regulatory standards
• Ensure precise stacking and positioning to maximize operational efficiency and prevent damage
• Maintain high levels of safety and efficiency while adhering to depot and warehouse procedures
• Conduct daily pre-operational inspections to ensure the machinery is fit for operation

Requirements

• Matric (Grade 12) certificate is mandatory
• Minimum of 5 years' proven experience operating a 45-ton reach stacker
• Valid Reach Stacker Operator license/certificate
• Previous experience in the logistics or freight industry
• Fluent English communication skills
• Strong knowledge of depot and warehouse procedures
• Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment
