Monitor the following critical control points:
Temperature of chill rooms and packaging halls.
Temperature of all products before, during and after filling / packing.
Monitor packing weights during packing process.
Check scale calibrations before production starts
Responsible to control the following procedures & policies.
Preliminary release of raw material policy
Winelands Pork Food Safety Policy
Personal Hygiene Code of conduct
Facilities – Canteens and cloakrooms
Crate discipline procedure
Production day code policy
Cleaning schedules
Procedure for the development and launching of new products
Procedure for changing existing products or specifications
Procedure to prevent microbiological, physical and foreign object contamination
will be done on a daily basis:
Production discipline
Hygiene discipline
Scale calibrations
Issuing of COC’s
Timeosly complete checksheets
Timeosly keep filing up to date.
The QC Controller will have the authority to stop production lines if production doesn’t work according to specifications, procedures or policies until the department Supervisor / Production Manager has been informed of the non-conformance.
Handling of all deviations and non-conformances with the following policies and procedures:

Procedure for deviation permits
The QC Controller must be able to define problem areas within production and together with the technical team and production plan, structure and implement a possible solution. Control points need to be identified by QC in order to improve all problem areas.
Quality Controllers must comply with the following requirements:
Must be acquainted with the product range
Must be familiar with the factory layout
Trustworthy
Must be able to work individually and as a team
Must be able to resolve problems quick and effectively
Must be able to communicate well in writing as well as verbally
Must have the ability to do calculations
Must be acquainted with all product specifications, procedures, cleaning schedules and policies.
Must be able to be pro active when corrective action need to be taken,
The QC Controller must be willing and able to work in any department in the factory. In addition to the tasks mentioned above, the QC Controller must be prepared to complete any other tasks allocated to them, within reason by their Manager.
Requirements: Be able to communicate on all levels of management.
Be able to work independently and in a team.
Be computer literate.
Excellent time keeping
Punctual.
Consist of sober habits
