About the Organization

Gabiro Agribusiness Hub Ltd (GAH Ltd) is a flagship agribusiness initiative established through a partnership between the Government of Rwanda and private investors. The Hub is designed to drive modern, irrigated agriculture, enhance productivity, and attract commercial farming investment.

As we continue to scale operations, we are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking HR Specialist to help shape a high-performing, people-centered organization.

Position Overview

The HR Specialist will play a pivotal role in building and sustaining a strong organizational culture, driving talent acquisition, and strengthening HR systems within a fast-growing, performance-driven environment.

This role is ideal for an agile HR professional who thrives in startup or fast-paced private sector environments and is passionate about people, systems, and organizational impact.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding
  • Design and implement innovative strategies to attract and retain high-quality talent
  • Collaborate with department heads to anticipate staffing needs and build a strong talent pipeline

Employee Relations & Culture Development

  • Serve as a link between management and employees, fostering a positive and productive work environment
  • Address employee concerns, manage grievances, and support conflict resolution
  • Champion a strong organizational culture anchored in accountability, collaboration, and performance

Performance Management

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve performance management systems
  • Support managers in setting KPIs, conducting performance appraisals, and managing underperformance
  • Promote a results-driven culture through continuous feedback and employee engagement

Learning & Development

  • Identify training and development needs across the organization
  • Design and deliver programs that build competencies and support career progression
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of HR experience in a dynamic or fast-paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and employment regulations
  • Proficiency in HR systems and tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
