Organization Background

The Association of Microfinance Institutions in Rwanda (AMIR) is the umbrella organization for microfinance institutions and Savings and Credit Cooperatives (SACCOs) in Rwanda. AMIR promotes financial inclusion by supporting the growth, sustainability, and professionalization of its member institutions through advocacy, capacity building, digital transformation, and policy engagement.

Program Overview

AMIR is implementing the Rwanda MSME Financing Program (Kataza Program) to support youth-owned Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), particularly in agriculture, tourism, and hospitality. The program enhances the financing and operational capabilities of 22 MFIs and SACCOs across 17 districts in Rwanda.

The Kataza Program aims to contribute to inclusive economic development by enabling at least 54,150 youth—especially young women—to access dignified and fulfilling work by 2027.

Position Purpose

To ensure effective and efficient loan management under the Kataza program, SACCOs require dedicated personnel to facilitate implementation of credit services including product marketing, appraisal, disbursement, monitoring, and recovery in line with project guidelines. Credit and Recovery Officers will support SACCOs in expanding access to credit, building financial literacy, and improving livelihoods.
