The Jonathan Foundation is a non-profit organization working in Gashora, Rwanda, focused on improving access to quality education and supporting vulnerable children through school programs, infrastructure, nutrition, and community initiatives.

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Early Childhood professional to lead and manage our daycare centre. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in caring for and educating children aged 6 months to 2 years, and be passionate about early childhood development.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the daycare centre
• Supervise and support daycare staff
• Plan and implement age-appropriate learning and care activities
• Ensure a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for infants and toddlers
• Monitor children's development and provide feedback to parents
• Maintain records and reports for each child
• Ensure hygiene, safety, and regulatory standards are met

Requirements

• Degree in Early Childhood Development (mandatory)
• Proven experience working in a daycare setting with children aged 6 months to 2 years (mandatory)
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, record-keeping)
• Patient, caring, and attentive to children's needs
• Willingness to relocate to Gashora

Position Details

• Location: Gashora, Rwanda
• Employment Type: Full-time
• Working Hours: Monday to Saturday
• Starting Salary: 300,000–350,000 RWF
