Job Overview

A prominent company specializing in shopfitting and interior fit-out projects seeks a motivated and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its expanding team in Harare, Zimbabwe.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation for shopfitting and interior fit-out projects
• Conduct on-site measurements and valuations to ensure project costs remain within budget
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to negotiate contracts and resolve financial issues
• Monitor project progress and prepare interim valuations, variation orders, and final accounts
• Advise on procurement strategies and contract conditions
• Prepare and submit regular cost reports to management

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional qualification in Quantity Surveying
• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying, preferably within shopfitting or interior fit-out industries
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, measurement standards, and cost control principles
• Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., MS Excel, CostX, or similar)
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Membership with a recognized professional body (e.g., RICS, CIOB, or equivalent) is an advantage
