Occupational Nurse (OHNP)

Position Overview

FitMed24 seeks qualified and experienced Occupational Health Nurses to join our team on a 3-year fixed-term contract across multiple locations in South Africa. The successful candidates will deliver occupational health services in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

• Contract Duration: 3 years (fixed-term)
• Start Date: 1 June 2026
• Locations: Boksburg (Gauteng), Pretoria and Centurion (Gauteng), Somerset West (Western Cape), Potchefstroom (North West), Port Elizabeth/Gqeberha (Eastern Cape), Bloemfontein (Free State)

Requirements

• Must be registered as an Occupational Health Nurse
• Valid and up-to-date registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)
• Relevant occupational health qualifications and certifications

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in conducting spirometry, audiometry, and vision screening
• Knowledge of occupational health legislation and best practices
• Strong administrative and record-keeping skills
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct medical surveillance and health assessments
• Maintain accurate medical records and reports
• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
• Provide health education and promotion in the workplace
• Liaise with management and external stakeholders as required
