Summary:
The work schedule for this position is: Full Time 40 number of hours per week.
Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time (4 weeks) of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or his/her candidacy may end.

Relocation Expenses Reimbursed: No
Duties
Conduct electrical projects as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor or the FMM on USG controlled properties in Niamey, Niger. Train assigned apprentices.
Perform all journeyman electrical related work using proper tools, materials and procedures as directed by the corresponding maintenance supervisor or the FMM. Install, repair, and wire various types of electric equipment as needed for projects assigned. Read drawings, sketches and blue prints as required for each project.
Inventory supplies and assist with ordering and purchasing of tools and material as required.
Clean shop and work area, maintain and make repairs to tools as required. Make routine checks for fire and safety hazards and report all discrepancies to the appropriate authority.

Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: Two years of journeyman electrician experience required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of various electrical systems and equipment is required.
Education Requirements:
Completion of elementary school is required.
Evaluations:
LANGUAGE: Level 2 (Limited knowledge) Speaking/Reading/Writing French and local language (Hausa and/or Zarma) is required; Level 1 (Rudimentary knowledge) Speaking/Reading/Writing English is required.
