Duties
Basic Function of the Position: Incumbent is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Consular section under the overall supervision of the Consular Officer.
Shares responsibility for the correspondence and outreach in the consular section, ensuring that all Non-Immigrant Visa (NIV), Immigrant Visas (IV) and American Citizen Services (ACS) queries are answered within three days via phone, e-mail or fax.
Non-Immigrant Visas (NIVs) 30%
— Data Entry and visa printing
— FAM/Cables search for dept guidance and regulation
— Fraud Prevention
Immigrant Visas/Diversity Visas (IV/DV) 30%
— Load cases from NVC/create cases if petition filed at post
— Process and print all IV and DV cases
— Customer service (in person/telephone/e-mail); field questions from the general public
— Fraud prevention
American Citizen Services 15%
— Load cases from NVC/create cases if petition filed at post
— Process and print all IV and DV cases
