Logistics and Inventory Officer

About the Role

Tabono Consult Ltd is recruiting a dynamic Logistics and Inventory Officer to be based at Kilimanjaro International Airport. This position offers a great opportunity for career growth.

The role acts as an independent control function from the sales team, with the main responsibility of ensuring inventory accuracy and preventing stock discrepancies, losses, errors, or shrinkage.

Key Responsibilities

Shipment Reception and Coordination

• Receive all incoming shipments at Kilimanjaro International Airport
• Act as the on-site focal point for resolving issues related to shipment arrival or clearance

Customs Liaison

• Maintain good working relationships with customs officials at the airport
• Support the resolution of day-to-day operational issues, including delays, missing documents, and inspections
• Support smooth day-to-day coordination with customs officials to help resolve operational challenges related to incoming shipments

Goods Reception and Verification

• Physically check all incoming goods against packing lists and shipping documents
• Ensure quantities, references, and product conditions are accurate upon receipt
• Report any discrepancies immediately, including missing items, damaged items, and incorrect items

Inventory Control and Loss Prevention

• Help maintain strong inventory management practices
• Support loss prevention initiatives
