BackgroundThe African Legal Support Facility – ALSF is an international organization established by Treaty in 2008. The overarching Goal of the ALSF is to help maximize resources available for the economic development and social progress in its African Member Countries.In 2018, the ALSF received funding from Germany through KfW, and commissioned ICON-INSTITUT GmbH (ICON) to: strengthen ALSF´s strategic planing and its monitoring and evaluation activities; develop relevant requisite staff skills and competencies; explore other sources of funding to reduce its heavy reliance on international donors and enhance financial sustainability; and improve ALSF´s effectiveness and efficiency.To build on these achievements, the ALSF is requesting for additional support that will sustain the most impactful and successful interventions of the assignment. Among other this additional support services will focus on Development of Staff Benefits System of the ALSF. Job DescriptionThe service will identify the most suitable benefits to provide to all categories of its staff members, including: a Health Insurance Coverage; and Education Allowance and development of a Pension Plan for ALSF staff.Expert / Consultant will:– Conduct a benchmark of benefits including Pension Plans offered by similar (size, annual budget..etc.) organizations or institutions.– Propose a cost estimate and modalities for implementation of the benefit system to the new categories of staff and pension plan to benefit all staff.- Presentation and disscussion of the proposed benefit system with the ALSF Management.Candidate’s ProfileEducation:– University degree in areas relevant to the Job (Economics, Political Science, Law, International Relations, etc.)
Professional experience:– Preferably over 5 years of general experience in similar projects– A minimum of 3 years of international experience with staff benefits systemsSpecific professional experience:– Good com...
