Position Overview

Note: This position is contingent upon receipt of donor funding.

Nascent Solutions is seeking a Chief of Party (COP) to lead a US Department of Agriculture-funded McGovern-Dole International Food for Education and Child Nutrition Program in Guinea (Conakry). This program provides donation of U.S. agricultural commodities, as well as financial and technical assistance, to support school feeding and maternal and child nutrition projects.

The key objective of the McGovern-Dole Program is to reduce hunger and improve literacy and primary education by providing school meals, teacher training, and related support.

Primary Mission

Promote self-reliance by harnessing the creative and entrepreneurial drive of rural women and youth to problem-solve, build resilient local economies, and improve the quality of life for their families and communities.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact with agencies and the Government of Guinea regarding day-to-day implementation and management of the program
• Ensure the smooth functioning and coordination of all project functions, including program development
• Oversee the program, establish systems for operations, and maintain relationships with government partners and other stakeholders
• Oversee technical and effective management of resources
