Head of Estate Management at Reputable Company

About the Role

A reputable company invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Head of Estate Management. This role is responsible for the development and implementation of estate management strategies, policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure effective and efficient management of the company's estates and other landed/unlanded properties in line with the company's mandate and legal/regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise in the development of strategies and plans for the estate management department as input into the overall corporate strategy
• Lead and direct the development of policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), work plans, control systems, and other monitoring mechanisms to achieve targeted objectives
• Liaise with the Finance Department in the development of revenue mobilisation strategies and plans for the collection of ground rents, levies, and other payments from property owners and lessees
• Lead and direct the formulation of estate management policy for the company's estates and monitor implementation to ensure compliance
• Lead and direct the development of systems, processes, and procedures for the collection of ground rents and levies in line with approved policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements
• Monitor correspondence and complaints from homeowners and customers regarding lease agreements, ground rents, and related issues, ensuring effective resolution within approved standards and timeframes
• Provide technical advice in the valuation and re-valuation of estates and make recommendations to management
• Liaise with the legal department on matters relating to estate management and property agreements
