Position Summary

The Pharmacist is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy location, including dispensing prescription medications, providing essential drug information and advice to patients, and managing the overall operations of the pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities

Prescription Dispensing

• Accurately interpret and process prescriptions, ensuring appropriate medication is dispensed
• Conduct thorough medication consultations to discuss usage, dosage, and possible side effects with patients

Patient Care

• Provide counseling and advice on the use of prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) medications
• Offer guidance on health management and preventive care measures
• Conduct health screenings and vaccinations as certified and approved
• Provide excellent customer service, handling and resolving patient issues and concerns with empathy and professionalism

Inventory Management

• Manage pharmacy inventory, order medications and supplies, and ensure stock levels are maintained to meet patient needs without excessive surplus
• Oversee the handling of pharmaceuticals in compliance with regulatory standards
