1. Job SummaryThe Senior Local Purchasing Officer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing local procurement activities to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality acquisition of goods and services in line with company policies and procedures.2. Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesPlan and implement local purchasing activities based on approved purchase requestsPrepare and issue RFQs/RFPs and obtain competitive quotations from suppliersEvaluate supplier quotations and participate in bid analysis and supplier selectionNegotiate prices, delivery schedules, and payment terms with vendorsPrepare purchase orders and follow up on order execution and deliveryEnsure purchased items meet required specifications, quality, and quantityMaintain updated supplier database and develop new suppliersMonitor market trends, price fluctuations, and availability of materialsCoordinate with warehouse, finance, and user departments during procurement processesEnsure procurement documentation is complete and properly archivedResolve delivery, quality, and supplier performance issuesSupport periodic inventory planning and cost-saving initiativesEnsure compliance with procurement policy, audit requirements, and ethical standardsPrepare procurement reports and performance analysesSupervise and guide junior purchasing staff when assigned. 3.
