Job description
## Title: Finance Manager
Position Overview
This position offers a great opportunity for career growth within IRC Ghana's finance team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop budgets for funding proposals in conjunction with resource mobilization, ensuring compliance with donor guidelines and identifying and assessing financial risks for IRC Ghana
- Review, understand, and monitor contractual commitments, including timely invoicing of project costs to partners and donors
- Record administrative flows to provide project management information, including cash flow forecasts
- Prepare financial progress reports and project communications, and coordinate project audits
- Facilitate complete and proper reporting of project finances for consolidation in IRC's general ledger, quarterly reporting, and annual accounts (including work-in-progress balances and expenditure accounts)
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of information systems (Exact ERP) and general ledger, and improve financial procedures
- Prepare statutory reports to ensure compliance of financial and operational systems with IRC policies, local laws, and IRC Ghana annual audits
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent with at least 5 years of relevant experience
- Professional accounting certification (CA, ACCA, or other equivalent advanced qualification) is an advantage
- Excellent knowledge and experience with MS Excel and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software (e.g., Exact, Synergy, and Glube)
- Knowledge of Government of Ghana financial management systems and procedures is an advantage
- Proactive, hands-on attitude with strong analytical and reporting skills
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with ability to work in a multicultural environment
- Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing
