Job Summary
The Purchaser is responsible for compiling purchase requests, collecting proforma invoices, conducting analysis, handling payment settlement, and ensuring delivery of items to store.
Principal Responsibilities
Purchase Requests Processing
- Verify all requested materials meet specifications with clearly stated quantities and units of measurement
- Clarify unclear items and recommend alternatives
- Compile and categorize supplies or equipment
- Apply organizational automated applications used for purchases
Vendor Selection and Proforma Collection
- Identify and select potential vendors to procure requisitioned items
- Ensure vendor reliability and product quality
- Collect price quotations from reliable suppliers
- Negotiate with suppliers
- Maintain accessible supplier information by sorting and filing supplier addresses
Analysis and Payment Processing
- Prepare offer analysis and purchase orders
- Request payments and facilitate approvals based on organizational policy and procedures
