About the Organisation

The Biomedical Research and Training Institute (BRTI) is a non-profit organisation registered in Zimbabwe under Section 22 of the Companies Act (Registration Number: 1676/95). Established in 1995, the institute conducts research projects and offers training and support services in the biomedical field.

Position Overview

Five Research Nurse positions are available. The initial contract is for one year, with the possibility of a six-month extension subject to funding availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct research activities in accordance with study protocols and ethical guidelines
• Provide nursing care and support to research participants
• Collect, record, and manage clinical data accurately
• Ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and standard operating procedures
• Participate in training and capacity-building initiatives

Qualifications and Requirements

• Registered Nurse qualification recognised in Zimbabwe
• Valid registration with the Nurses Council of Zimbabwe
• Previous experience in clinical research or biomedical research settings
• Strong attention to detail and data management skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
