Mission Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic leader to serve as the Head of Mission in Guinea. This role is responsible for the overall management, coordination, and representation of the mission, ensuring effective implementation of programs and operations in line with organizational goals and donor requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and lead all programmatic, operational, and security aspects of the mission in Guinea.
• Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with government authorities, partners, donors, and other stakeholders.
• Manage the mission’s budget, human resources, and logistics to achieve efficiency and accountability.
• Provide strategic direction and oversight for program planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting.
• Represent the organization in high-level meetings, negotiations, and public events.
• Ensure the safety and security of all staff and assets, implementing appropriate risk mitigation measures.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience in a senior management role, preferably as Head of Mission or equivalent, in a humanitarian or development context.
• Strong knowledge of project management, donor compliance, and financial oversight.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams.
• Fluency in French and English (both written and spoken) is mandatory.
• Experience working in West Africa or similar challenging environments is highly valued.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
• Relevant academic background (Master’s degree or equivalent in international relations, development studies, management, or related field).
