Senior ElectroMechanical Technician required

About the Role

A well-established textile manufacturing company in Umbilo, Durban is seeking a mature and experienced Senior ElectroMechanical Technician to join our textile manufacturing team. The successful candidate will lead a team to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical and electronic machinery, ensuring minimal production downtime while maintaining excellent communication with factory staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair faults on production machinery (mechanical and electronic)
• Lead and direct a team of maintenance staff
• Perform routine maintenance to prevent equipment breakdowns
• Minimize production delays and optimize machinery efficiency
• Collaborate with production teams to meet output targets
• Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or ElectroMechanical Engineering, or related field
• 8+ years' experience in textile manufacturing maintenance
• Proven leadership experience
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Physically fit and in excellent health
• Valid driver's license
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Fluent in English and/or bilingual
• Willingness to work after hours when required
