Inventory and Quality Controller

About the Role

A well-established textile wholesaler is seeking an Inventory and Quality Controller to join their team in Goodwood, Cape Town. You will work closely with the Operations Manager and Buyer, taking full responsibility for inventory control and quality assurance across all products.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management

• Take full responsibility for inventory control
• Efficiently manage stock movement and levels
• Actively manage and minimise stock losses
• Conduct stock takes
• Develop systems and procedures to optimise and improve stock control

Quality Control

• Complete and timely quality checks on all products
• Immediately report any problems to the buyer
• Develop systems and procedures for improving quality checks and quality control

Additional Duties

• Assist Operations Manager and Buyer where necessary

Requirements

• Grade 12 certification plus relevant tertiary education
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in inventory and quality control
• Clear criminal and credit record (applicants must agree to both checks)
• At least 2 contactable references who can verify suitability for the position
• Fully computer literate with Sage Pastel Evolution experience advantageous

Position Details

• Monthly Salary: R16,000
• Start Date: ASAP
• Location: Goodwood, Cape Town
