About the Role

As a Commis Chef, you will be an integral part of our kitchen operations, assisting with various aspects of food preparation and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organization. This junior position is ideal for individuals who have recently completed culinary training or are looking to start their career in a professional kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior chefs with food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients
- Learn and master basic cooking techniques and recipes
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and kitchen area
- Ensure proper storage and rotation of food items
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
- Support the kitchen team in daily operations as required
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Diploma or certification in culinary arts (preferred, but not strictly required for candidates demonstrating exceptional aptitude and enthusiasm)
- Previous experience in a kitchen setting, even if informal
- Strong passion for food with a desire to learn and grow in the culinary field
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
