Line Supervisor

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Line Supervisor to oversee daily production operations, manage staff, and ensure production targets and quality standards are consistently met. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to enforce processes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage production line operations to meet daily and hourly targets and productivity standards
• Allocate staff to appropriate workstations and ensure optimal line balancing
• Conduct daily team briefings and monitor employee performance against time-based performance systems
• Ensure Bill of Materials (B.O.M) and manufacturing components are prepared and available in advance
• Monitor and enforce production processes and maintain high-quality standards
• Minimize production errors and maintain consistent quality output
• Manage workforce attendance, discipline, and enforce company policies
• Report material shortages, production issues, and inefficiencies
• Ensure good housekeeping standards and workplace organization

Requirements

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within a production manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of production line manufacturing and line balancing
• Ability to identify bottlenecks in production processes
• Matric / Grade 12 qualification
• Proficiency in Excel
• Strong mathematical literacy with a good understanding of percentages
• Ability to work under pressure
