Fireplace Installer required

About the Role

The Original Chimney Sweep is seeking an experienced Fireplace Installer / Maintenance Technician to join our established chimney sweep and fireplace maintenance business. This is a full-time position based in Table View, serving clients across Cape Town and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Install fireplaces and related chimney systems
• Perform fireplace and chimney maintenance and sweeping
• Assist with chimney sweeps, inspections and maintenance checks
• Fit and maintain chimney cowls where required
• Identify fireplace, flue, smoke, draught and maintenance issues
• Work neatly and respectfully in customers' homes
• Follow company procedures, safety standards and job sheets
• Report issues, materials needed and job feedback to the office

Requirements

• Previous experience with fireplace installation, chimney maintenance or similar artisan work (highly advantageous)
• Practical, hands-on approach with ability to work neatly
• Reliable, honest and punctual
• Ability to work under pressure during busy seasons
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to follow instructions and complete work to a high standard
• Valid driver's licence (advantageous)
• Experience in roofing, building, steelwork, fireplaces, cowls or maintenance work (beneficial)
