Driver / Site Assistant Required

Position Overview

Ubuntu Fibre Telecommunications & Civils (Pty) Ltd is seeking a reliable and hardworking Driver / Site Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting staff, tools, equipment, and materials to and from fibre installation sites, as well as assisting with transporting teams between different work areas on site.

Projects may be located in remote areas. The successful candidate must be willing to travel and stay away from home when required. Accommodation will be provided by the company.

When driving duties are not required, the candidate may be required to assist the site team with general site duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport staff, tools, equipment, and materials to and from fibre installation sites
• Assist with transporting teams between different work areas on site
• Support site team with general site duties as required
• Travel to remote project locations and stay away from home when necessary

Requirements

• Valid South African Code 10 Driver's Licence
• Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP)
• Valid South African ID, Passport, and/or Work Permit
• Contactable references
• Must be of sober habits
• Willing to travel and stay away from home when required
• Ability to work well within a team environment
• Previous experience in the telecommunications, construction, or civil industry (advantageous)
