The National Agricultural Export Development Board (NAEB) would like to recruit self-motivated and qualified candidates to fill the following positions.
POSITION: EGGS PRODUCTION AND MULTIPLICATION TECHNICIAN

Key Competences
Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Crop Science and crop production.
Under the direct supervision of the Emerging Commodities Division Manager, the Eggs Production and Multiplication Technician will perform the following duties & Responsibilities:
Prepare the Silkworm Egg Production Plan to meet the annual target of cocoon production;
Undertake the silkworm eggs production activities and ensure that mulberry plantations are well maintained for egg production;
Distribute the silkworm eggs to farmers on time and ensure timely follow-up for distributed eggs;
Advice farmers on issues related to distributed silkworm eggs;
Ensure the quality of silkworm eggs distributed;
Ensure the quality of cocoons from distributed silkworm eggs;
Ensure the quality and reception of cocoons delivered to NSC by farmers;
Skills of Sericulture industry, field activities in production and marketing-oriented organization.
Proven experience in farmer capacity building and strategic development to empower the agricultural smallholding farmers;
Ability to understand agricultural production factors and marketing in the complex business environment;
Team working and motivation Skills
Communication skills
Report, writing & presentation skills
Computer skills
Creativity and innovation
A degree of competency in English, and working knowledge of French and/or
Kinyarwanda would be an added advantage
