Duties
This position is located in the Human Resources (HR) Office at American Embassy Niamey, Niger.  The incumbent serves as Human Resources Assistant and provides a wide range of HR services for the Embassy and associated agencies.  Primary duties include the recruitment and hiring of Locally Employed Staff (LE Staff) – drafting and inputting vacancy announcements through the automated ERA system, application review, testing, scheduling and attending interviews, etc.  Processes personnel actions, benefit paperwork, and conducts orientation sessions for new LE Staff.  Assists with the preparation of awards/set up/refreshments for the Annual Awards Ceremony.  Prepares HR reports as requested.  Reports directly to the Supervisory Recruiter (HR Assistant).

Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: Three to five years of progressively responsible experience in the field of Human Resource management, with a minimum of two years’ experience in recruitment area, is required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE:  Optional: Thorough knowledge of human resource management functions, host country local labor laws and Social Security System, and prevailing practices are required.
